More Miracles from Scientology

I've witnessed a large number of spectacular miracles from Scientology, and this was my first one. It saved my eyesight and gave me an "eye opening" introduction to the subject.

Back in 1958 I was working on a doctorate at the Sorbonne in Paris and directing English language theater at the American Students and Artists Center when a friend recommended a Communication Course taught by her husband.

I thought it might be helpful for use in the theater, so signed up.

The first evening consisted of students pairing off to sit just looking at each other continuously and doing nothing else for a steady three hour period.

It had something to do with Scientology, a subject that was new to me, but I went along with the drill out of curiosity.

I was told that its purpose was to improve ones ability to "confront" another person, an essential skill required for proper communication to occur.

The first hour was not too difficult, but they would not let me wear the eye glasses that I had been "saddled with" for the previous 15 years.

After a while, my eyesight started acting up. The other person's appearance kept changing. I was getting weird body sensations, strange emotions bubbled up and a crushing fatigue descended on me.

I tried to quit, but was urged to complete the three hours so I persisted, thankfully.

Toward the end I began to feel quite comfortable and the other person became a lot more "real" as though some sort of fog had been lifted between us.

Walking home afterward I suddenly realized that I could now see perfectly well without the glasses I had neglected to put back on after the course.

At that moment my vision blurred, but I knew the basic problem was not with my eyes, but with my mind, somehow.

I smashed up my glasses, the corrected vision returned, and I felt a strong sense of personal freedom, something I have never lost to this day.

The next evening, I got a copy of Scientology, The Fundamentals of Thought and read it through that night.

What an "eye opener" this book was. It contained the answers to all the questions about life that had built up since a very early age.

But, that is only part of the story.

I have never had difficulty passing the eye exam for a drivers license, but my eyesight was never perfect, so years later when I was offered an exam by an opthamologist I accepted.

He was amazed to find scar tissue from cataracts that had been forming earlier in my life, but stopped. It was inexplicable to him, but not to me.

I went on to complete the Scientology professional practitioners course there in Paris and have studied and worked most of my life since in Scientology.

Since then I have seen thousands of miracles resulting from the application of the Applied Philosophy of Scientology as developed by L. Ron Hubbard.
