Self Help Story from Jennifer C.

I was a dreamy teenager in the early seventies and I lived for music.

My favorite band, the one whose music "saved" me time and time again was "The Incredible String Band" out of Scotland.

I had every album, had hitchhiked all over the Eastern Seaboard to catch them and listened to them day and night.

I finally had the chance to meet them after a concert at Philharmonic Hall in NYC.

I dressed my exotic/hippie best. I had some personalized artwork I created which I wanted to give them. So I made it backstage and met them all.

They had a huge fan club, larger than any band I knew and they were diligent about collecting names, addresses and birth dates and sending massive volumes out to all the members in every country.

They wrote to every person themselves, at least they did to me the next day! That attention to communication was very apparent to me right from the start.

After that, at each concert, I would sit for hours talking with Robin Williams about life and living and he was SO safe to be around, even tho I was madly, wildly infatuated with him.

He had the brightest blue eyes and I could tell that he was "more than his body" and I vowed to myself to "have" what he had!"

One day, I received a postcard from the band, directing me to my local Church of Scientology in NYC to find out about this wonderful Religious Philosophy that they claimed had changed their lives.

I went into "the city" that next weekend and signed up for the Hubbard Apprentice Scientologist Course, and found real self help.

I have never looked back since!

Jennifer C.
