I needed some sort of extreme stress management when my personal life headed for disaster after my Mom fell into psychiatric hands and was given brutal electric shock to "cure" her menopause.
It turned her into a kind of zombie that lost all hope and she eventually killed herself.
It was devastating to me and my family. I asked myself, "How could 'these professionals' claim to cure people, but take away their will to live instead?" What were they thinking!
I will always remember my first Dianetics session. I was crying in the agony of despair when suddenly I realized what happened that started me on my downward spiral toward extreme stress.
I experienced the truth, that there is a stimulus/response part of the mind which stores all the bad things that have happened to one and can ruin a person's life.
With Dianetics, it can be erased and when it is gone, true freedom and happiness returns.
Then I knew that the traditional approaches to handling mental crises (drugs, shock and various kinds of "stress management") only make things worse.
I found that they were all based on the false belief that "a person was just a body, merely a few dollars worth of chemicals." Therefore, it was "okay" to drug and shock them dooming them to a lifetime of misery.
The Dianetics book gave me hope by taking the opposite viewpoint, that each person is inherently perfect and the actual source of what makes them act badly and suffer intensely is their reactive mind—and now there was a way to handle it—FOR GOOD!!
I realized that Life can be upsetting at times. Tragedies occur to each of us, leaving their stamp on our hopes and dreams. Cynicism and misery follow right-a-long.
So it was a great relief to find the way to be free of stress, to feel like myself again and to have confidence in my future.
I went on to study Dianetics and devoted my life to helping others.
Now I have a Dianetics Professional Team working with children and adults to eradicate the effects of the Reactive Mind, the sole cause of stress.
We use Dianetic therapy to give you back “yourself.” This enables you to rediscover who you were before life came along and messed things up.
